President Trump addressed a gathered crowd at Mount Rushmore, the iconic national memorial featuring the faces of four U.S. presidents carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. His speech highlighted the administration's record-setting tax cuts, energy independence, and the launch of the Space Force, among other accomplishments.

This administration has achieved so much for our nation,' Trump declared, referencing his administration's significant military investments, the replacement of NAFTA, and the breakthrough in Middle Eastern peace. 'We have secured our borders and protected the values we hold dear,' he added.

Background

The Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a national memorial featuring a colossal sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills, about 2 mi (3 km) southwest of Keystone, South Dakota, United States. The sculptor, Gutzon Borglum, named it the Shrine of Democracy, and oversaw the execution from 1927 to 1941 with the help of his son, Lincoln Borglum.
