Ukraine has declared a day of mourning for the victims of Russian bombardment of Kyiv, as the death toll from Thursday's attacks rose to 30, with at least four people killed and 10 others injured in the capital's overnight strikes by Russia.
Among the victims were two women, an elderly man, and a young girl in the Sumy region, near the border with Russia, where a Russian drone hit a house. The attacks also injured over 90 people, with the number expected to rise as rescue efforts continue.
The Ukrainian Red Cross reported that its humanitarian warehouse in Kyiv was damaged, destroying 320,000 relief items, which will affect emergency response and humanitarian operations across Ukraine, according to the organization's X account.
Ukraine's allies are expected to announce a new support package worth €70 billion at the upcoming NATO summit, but Ukrainian officials have criticized the lack of air defenses provided so far.
