The recall includes vehicles with model years between 2018 and 2021, and the NHTSA reports that Ford is aware of 24 allegations of property damage and nine alleged injuries, with two of those being emotional injuries.
Vehicle owners will be notified by mail and instructed to bring their vehicles to a Ford or Lincoln dealer for a software update on the Powertrain Control Module.
The update is designed to address the issue and prevent any further incidents, ensuring the safety of the vehicles and their drivers.
