The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced it killed Akram Abu Machi, a Hamas militant involved in the October 7 attacks, in an airstrike in southern Gaza this week.
In recent weeks, Abu Machi was reportedly involved in efforts to restore Hamas's capabilities and advance attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
Additionally, Israeli soldiers detained an unarmed suspected Hamas operative at the Kerem Shalom border crossing in southern Gaza, emphasizing there was no infiltration into Israeli territory.
The IDF also struck four rocket launchers in the Gaza Strip overnight, targeting installations set up by terror groups during the ceasefire.
Hamas official Taher al-Nunu stated that Israel's demands have pushed negotiations over Gaza's future back to square one, refusing to commit to all provisions of the ceasefire and seeking to dismantle Palestinian factions.
