SpaceX prices record $75B IPO at $135 ahead of Friday debut
Confirmed
What we know
SpaceX on Thursday priced its initial public offering at $135 a share, selling about 555.6 million Class A shares and raising roughly $75 billion — the largest IPO on record, ahead of Saudi Aramco’s 2019 debut. The price implies a valuation near $1.77 trillion; shares are set to begin trading Friday on Nasdaq under ticker SPCX, with the offering expected to close June 15.
The company granted underwriters a 30-day greenshoe option for up to about 83.3 million additional shares. Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, BofA Securities, Citigroup and J.P. Morgan are among the lead bookrunners. SpaceX had tested the fixed $135 take-it-or-leave-it price with investors before the roadshow; SEC registration was declared effective Thursday.
