The United States said Monday it struck Iranian radar and drone command sites over the weekend after Tehran shot down an American MQ-1 drone, then intercepted two Iranian ballistic missiles aimed at U.S. forces in Kuwait. Central Command said fighters hit air defenses, a ground control station and two attack drones near Geruk and on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday and Sunday; no American personnel were harmed in those strikes or in Monday's intercepts.

Kuwait reported air defenses engaging incoming missiles and drones early Monday, with sirens sounding nationwide, and later condemned the attacks. Iran's Revolutionary Guard said it retaliated against a base used by U.S. forces. Diplomacy to firm up a fragile April ceasefire continued amid the exchange, with Trump saying talks with Iran were moving "at a rapid pace."
