Victor Wembanyama scored 41 points and grabbed 24 rebounds as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 122-115 in double overtime Monday night to open the Western Conference finals, stealing home-court advantage from the defending champions. At 22 years, 134 days, he became the youngest player with at least 40 points and 20 rebounds in a playoff game.
Dylan Harper finished with 24 points and a Spurs playoff-record seven steals. Wembanyama hit a deep tying three in the first overtime and sealed the win with dunks in the final minute of the second OT. Alex Caruso scored 31 off the bench for Oklahoma City; Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 24 points and 12 assists. Game 2 is Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
