Israeli Strikes Kill at Least Five in Southern Lebanon
Developing
In Short: Israeli airstrikes continue in southern Lebanon, killing at least five people including a paramedic, despite a ceasefire agreement.

Israeli airstrikes have resumed in southern Lebanon, killing at least five people, including a paramedic in Tayr Falsayh, Tyre District, according to Lebanon's state-run National News Agency. This comes despite a ceasefire agreement that was supposed to last for 45 days, following talks in Washington, though it has not been observed in practice.
The attacks have killed more than 500 people since the truce was announced on April 16, and have targeted multiple villages in the region. Additionally, the Israeli army has issued new forced displacement orders for nine villages near Sidon and Nabatieh.
Israeli forces have also launched air attacks on the town of Yohmor al-Shaqif and heavily bombarded the towns of Kfar Tebnit and Arnoun, as well as the Arnoun-Kfar Tebnit road, claiming to have struck Hezbollah infrastructure sites in southern Lebanon.
These ongoing attacks highlight the continued tension and violence between Israel and Lebanon, despite the supposed ceasefire deal.
