A shooting at a party near Arcadia Lake in Edmond, Oklahoma, on Sunday night resulted in at least 18 people being hospitalized, according to police and hospital officials.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m., with reports of shots being fired at a gathering of young people, primarily from the Oklahoma City area, as the party was promoted across social media.

Ten individuals were treated at Integris Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, while three others received care at Integris Health Edmond Hospital, according to a hospital spokesperson.

The shooting took place in a heavily wooded area, complicating the investigation overnight, as police noted that the event, dubbed Sunday Funday, had been advertised on social media until midnight.
