President Donald Trump said Friday he is "not satisfied" with Iran's latest proposal to end the war, delivered to Pakistani mediators Thursday night, AP, CNN, Reuters, BBC and Euronews reported. Speaking at the White House, Trump said Tehran wants a deal but cited "disjointed" and "fractured" Iranian leadership and declined to spell out which demands he rejects.

A shaky U.S.-Iran ceasefire that began in early April is largely holding, but both sides remain locked over the Strait of Hormuz: Iran keeps choking commercial traffic while the U.S. Navy blockades Iranian ports. Trump also told Congress hostilities have "terminated," arguing the War Powers clock does not require fresh authorization; separately, the State Department pressed allies on a Maritime Freedom Construct to reopen the strait.
